Colonel Frank B. Bragg, Jr., U.S. Army (Retired)   President and CEO

Col. Bragg served over 27 years in the United States Army. He has extensive knowledge of the US Intelligence Community with expertise in: joint, combined, coalition, and interagency operations; signals intelligence; all-source intelligence; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); national security issues; and, crisis management.

His awards include: The Distinguished Service Medal; The Defense Superior Service Medal; The Legion of Merit; The Bronze Star; Defense Meritorious Service Medals (three); and, over 20 other awards.

His distinguished career included: Executive Assistant to the Senior Intelligence Officer of the Department of the Army; Deputy Director of Intelligence of the United States Central Command; Commander of the United States Army’s 116th Military Intelligence Group; and, Senior Intelligence Officer of the 10th Mountain Division and Joint Task Force Haiti. Col. Bragg has significant experience in leading and managing large, complex, and geographically dispersed intelligence and security organizations, including command and responsibility for the leadership, training, and management of the multi-faceted military intelligence, signals intelligence, and security operations of over 2000 personnel located in multiple locations around the United States.
  

After retiring from the United States Army in January 2003, Bragg served as President, CEO, and COO for a defense contracting firm focusing on a myriad of intelligence services.
 

Col. Bragg holds a BA in Political Science from Mercer University, an MSBA from Boston University and is a graduate of the United States Army War College and the United States Army Command and General Staff College.




Mr. Anthony M. Sanfilippo, Strategic Advisor

Mr. Sanfilippo has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry. Through February 2006, he held the position of Executive Vice President, Head of U.S Equity Trading for Jefferies & Co. Mr. Sanfilippo’s responsibilities included all aspects of the domestic execution and trading in equities and derivatives. Mr. Sanfilippo joined Jefferies in 2004, returning to the firm that helped shape his career in the early 1980’s.

Prior to joining Jefferies, Mr. Sanfilippo was an Executive Vice President at Knight Trading Group. He held the title of President and Chief Executive Officer at Knight Capital Markets, Knight’s wholly owned NASDAQ InterMarket trading firm. Mr. Sanfilippo also served as the interim Chief Executive Officer of Knight Trading Group, Inc. He joined Knight in 1997, when Tradetech Securities, a NASDAQ InterMarket trading firm he founded in 1993, was acquired by Trimark Securities (later named Knight Capital Markets, LLC). Mr. Sanfilippo was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Tradetech. Additional roles at Knight included Head of Global Equities, Chairman of Knight International, LTD., President and CEO of Knight Asia Holdings, Inc., and Chairman of Knight Roundtable Europe, LTD., a venture between Knight and its broker-dealer and bank partners in the U.S. and Europe. Mr. Sanfilippo served as a board member of Knight Trading Group from 1997 to 2004.
Mr. Sanfilippo currently serves as a Governor of Security Traders Association (STA) and co-chairs the Trading Issues Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Organization of Investment Professionals (NOIP), and is a past member of the Board of Directors of NASDAQ Europe and the SIA Trading Committee. He also serves as Treasurer for the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation, Inc. Mr. Sanfilippo has also served as President of the Securities Traders Association in Chicago, and he is the former Chairman of the District 8 Business Conduct Committee (DBCC) of NASD Regulation, Inc.


 Kerri Houston, Strategic Advisor—China

 Kerri Houston serves as CIP’s Strategic Advisor on China.  Appointed in December 2005 by House Speaker Dennis Hastert, Houston served as one of twelve Commissioners selected by Congressional leadership to the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission (www.USCC.gov) where she promoted policies that embraced free trade and the global movement of capital. 
 

Known as a preeminent public policy analyst and expert in coalition building, messaging, and stakeholder management, Houston serves as a consultant for domestic and international clients.  She is also the Senior Vice President for Policy for the Institute for Liberty where she offers strategic assessments of tax and trade policy, and national security and healthcare policy. 
 

Ms. Houston’s diverse career has included all facets of marketing, policy research and issue advocacy for free market think tanks, as well as acting as liaison to Capitol Hill, the White House, state legislators, and other free market policy centers in the U.S., Europe and Asia. 

 
A strong proponent of individual and economic liberty, federalism, free trade and free markets, Ms. Houston lectures on public policy and legislative issues and the proper role of government in civil society and has provided testimony to Congress on a number of topics.  She has worked internationally as a trainer for the International Republican Institute, and continues to consult with free market government officials in emerging democracies.  Ms. Houston was also nominated to serve on the President’s Commission to Strengthen Social Security. 
 

 
A widely published opinion writer, she is a Brain Trust columnist for Investor's Business Daily, and her opinion/editorials have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, the Detroit Free Press, The Dallas Morning News, the Chicago Sun Times, Forbes magazine,  and numerous other print, internet outlets and institutional publications throughout the country. She is a regular guest on talk radio nationwide, and she has provided commentary on Fox, MSNBC and CNBC and many other outlets.
